Summary
This position supports the Enterprise Network & Information Security Enhancement (ENISE) program from February 16, 2026 to February 15, 2027, providing engineering support for next‑generation firewalls, proxies, cloud‑hosted security stacks, and enterprise boundary protection. All work is authorized remotely and performed at the contractor’s location using government‑furnished systems.
 
Job Description
The Network Security Engineering SME performs advanced design, configuration, and optimization of Palo Alto NGFWs, proxy services, secure web gateways, cloud security platforms, and threat‑prevention infrastructure. This role provides hands‑on engineering, testing, troubleshooting, runbook creation, and architecture support for enterprise security modernization.
 
Responsibilities
  • Configure and optimize Palo Alto PA‑Series, VM‑Series, CN‑Series, Cloud NGFW, and Panorama.
  • Implement SSL decryption, URL filtering, authentication, threat prevention, and logging.
  • Support Strata Cloud Manager, Prisma Access, and Prisma Cloud engineering.
  • Develop diagrams, runbooks, enforcement policies, and deployment documentation.
  • Integrate network controls with SIEM/SOAR, dashboards, and detection workflows.
  • Support boundary protection, cloud integrations, and Zero Trust alignment.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking or related field.
  • 10+ years network engineering experience.
  • CISSP required.
  • Expert knowledge of NGFW, IDS/IPS, cloud security, and segmentation.
  • Hands‑on Prisma, Panorama, and hybrid cloud integration experience.

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $155,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
